The problems relating to the myth of Friday 13^th are recurring because in our current Gregorian calendar, any year, as well normal as bissextile, comprises at least 1 Friday 13^th to the maximum of 3 Fridays 13^th . One thus did not finish hearing some to speak about.

The annual maximum of 3 Fridays 13^th is reached if and only if the 1st day of the year considered is Thursday (of a normal year) or Sunday (of a leap year, as in 2006, January 1^st , 2006 = Sunday). In addition, the 13 of the month slightly have a stronger probability of falling one Friday than any other day week (see Friday 13th - Fateful Combinaison).

The number of Friday 13^th in a given year is a function at the same time of the type of year (normal or leap year) and of the day of the week during which fall on January 1^st .
This year there will be 3 Fridays 13^th, in February, March and November 2009, because the January 1^st of the normal year 2009 was a Thursday.

Since centuries, the combination and the components of Friday and the number 13 are symbols of misfortune. One always regarded the 12 as “divine” number and the subsequent 13 one becoming symbol of “curse”. Indeed there are 12 gods in ancient Olympe, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 works of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel and 12 apostles of Jesus. In addition, there are 12 months in the year, 12 hours in the day and 12 hours in the night.

However, on Friday 13^th is not a day of misfortune for everyone. In Spain, in Greece and Latin America, it is rather Tuesday 13^th which is day of bad luck. Among Italians, it is number 17 which is the unlucky and not 13. “Fare tredici!” or “To make the thirteen” is a slogan of the national lottery. Then, if you find number 13 you win. However, one will not find room 17, neither 17^th stage in the hotels, nor of row or seat number 17 on the planes of the Italian company Alitalia. Million of Asian are afraid of number 4. Indeed, this figure whose pronunciation is identical to that of the “dead” Mandarin word and also in Cantonese and in Japanese. For the Japanese, number 4 is haunted because it is pronounced “shi“, and this last word means “death“.

In addition, it is important to point out that mysteriously the life and the death of the pope John-Paul II are both strongly marked by number 13! …

La problématique relative au mythe du vendredi 13 est récurrente car dans notre actuel calendrier grégorien, toute année, tant normale que bissextile, comporte au minimum 1 vendredi 13 et au maximum 3 vendredis 13. On a donc pas fini d’en entendre parler.

Le maximum annuel de 3 vendredis 13 est atteint si et seulement si le 1^er jour de l’année considérée est le jeudi (d’une année normale) ou le dimanche (d’une année bissextile, comme en 2006, 1er janvier 2006 = dimanche). De surcroît, le 13 du mois a légèrement une plus forte probabilité de tomber un vendredi que tout autre jour de semaine.

Le nombre de vendredi 13 dans une année donnée est fonction à la fois du type d’année (normale ou bissextile) et du jour de la semaine pendant lequel tombe le 1^er janvier. Pour l’an 2007 (année normale) il y aura 2 vendredis 13, tombant aux mois d’avril et de juillet, car 2007 est une année non bissextile dont le 1^er jour est un lundi.

Depuis des siècles, la combinaison et les composantes du vendredi et du 13 sont symboles d’infortune. On a toujours considéré le 12 comme nombre “divin” et le 13 subséquent devenant symbole de “malédiction”. En effet il y a 12 dieux dans l’Olympe antique, 12 signes du zodiaque, 12 travaux d’Hercule, 12 tribus d’Israël et 12 apôtres de Jésus. De surcroît, il y a 12 mois dans l’année, 12 heures le jour et 12 heures la nuit.

Toutefois, le vendredi 13 n’est pas un jour d’infortune pour tout le monde. En Espagne en Grèce et en Amérique latine, c’est plutôt mardi 13 qui est jour de malchance. Chez les Italiens, c’est 17 qui est le nombre malchanceux et non 13. “Fare tredici!” ou “Faire le treize” est un slogan de la lotterie nationale. Alors, si vous trouvez le nombre 13 vous gagnez. Toutefois, on ne trouvera pas de chambre 17, ni de 17^ème étage dans les hôtels, ni de siège no 17 sur les avions de la compagnie italienne Alitalia. Des millions d’Asiatiques ont peur du chiffre 4. En effet, ce chiffre dont la prononciation est identique à celle du mot “mort” tant en mandarin, en cantonais, qu’en japonais. Pour les Japonais, le nombre 4 est hanté car il se prononce “shi“, et ce dernier mot signifie “la mort“.

Par ailleurs, il importe de souligner que mystérieusement la vie et la mort du pape Jean-Paul II sont toutes deux fortement marquées par le nombre 13 ! …

About Dadullah Akhund

Mullah Dadullah Akhund (1965? – May 11, 2007) was an ethnic Pashtun from Uruzgan province in Afghanistan. He was the Taliban's top military commander until his death in 2007.

Mullah Dadullah, a top lieutenant of Taliban leader Mullah Omar, who orchestrated suicide attacks, was the backbone of the Taliban. For many years Mullah Dadullah has been known to be one of the most brutal and extreme Taleban leaders, who killed and beheaded Afghan civilians.

He has been called "Afghanistan's top Taliban commander" by Nato officials, and was high on the US list of most-wanted people in the country. Mullah Dadullah lost one of his legs when fighting with the Mujahideen in Kabul in 1996 and has since used an artificial limb.

He had the reputation of a fearless man. Despite his disability, he fought and led major battles for the Taleban against the rival Northern Alliance forces during the 1990s. And he was the first Taleban commander to give interviews to print and electronic media after the fall of the regime. Unlike other Taleban leaders who never allowed themselves to be photographed for religious and security reasons, Mullah Dadullah did just the opposite.

Mullah Dadullah told the BBC in early 2006 that he had hundreds of suicide bombers awaiting his orders to launch an offensive against foreign troops. In March 2007, London television Channel 4 aired an interview in which Dadullah said al-Qaida (or al Qaeda) leader Osama bin Laden was alive and well and in contact with Taliban officers.

Afghan officials reported on May 13, 2007 that Mullah Dadullah was killed the previous evening in a clash with Afghan and Western - allied forces in Helmand province. His body was subsequently put on display for reporters in Kandahar, with bullet wounds to the head, chest and stomach.

Au sujet de Dadullah Akhund

Mollah Dadullah Akhund (1965 ? - 11 mai 2007; aussi Mullah) était d’ethnie Pashtun de la province d'Uruzgan en Afghanistan. Il était le commandant militaire suprême Taliban jusqu'à sa mort en 2007.

Le Mollah Dadullah, lieutenant supérieur du Chef taliban Mollah Omar, qui a orchestré des attaques suicide, était l'épine dorsale du Taliban. Pendant plusieurs années, le Mollah Dadullah était connu comme étant l'un des chefs taliban le plus brutal et le plus extrême, qui a tué et décapité des civils afghans.

Il s'est fait appelé « le top commandant taliban d'Afghanistan » par les fonctionnaires de l'OTAN, et était haut sur la liste américaine des personnes les plus recherchées dans le pays. Le Mollah Dadullah avait perdu une de ses jambes en combattant avec le Mujahideen à Kaboul en 1996 et avait depuis utilisé un membre artificiel.

Il a eu la réputation d'un homme téméraire. En dépit de son incapacité, il a lutté et a mené des batailles majeures pour le Taliban contre les forces rivales de l'Alliance nordique pendant les années 90. Et il était le premier commandant Taliban à donner des entrevues à la presse et aux médias électroniques après la chute du régime. À la différence d'autres chefs Taliban qui ne se sont jamais laissés photographier, pour raisons religieuses et de sécurité, le Mollah Dadullah a juste fait le contraire.

Le Mollah Dadullah a dit à la BBC début 2006 qu'il avait des centaines de bombardiers - suicide attendant ses ordres pour lancer une offensive contre les troupes étrangères. En mars 2007, la télévision canal 4 de Londres a diffusé une entrevue dans laquelle Dadullah indiquait que le Chef Oussama Ben Laden d'Al-Qaida (ou al Qaeda) était vivant, en santé et en contact avec les dirigeants talibans.

Les officiels afghans ont rapporté le 13 mai 2007 que le Mollah Dadullah a été tué la soirée précédente dans un affrontement avec des Afghans et les forces alliées occidentales dans la province de Helmand. Son corps a été plus tard livré en exposition pour des journalistes à Kandahar, avec des blessures de balle à la tête, à la poitrine et à l'estomac.
